READING, Pa. — AEW Collision delivered a major night of tournament action and championship competition Saturday from the Santander Arena, as the Continental Challenge Cup semifinal field was completed and Willow Nightingale successfully defended the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The main event featured champion versus champion, with Willow Nightingale defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against TBS Champion Maya World. In a competitive closing match, Nightingale retained her title and ended the night with a major victory.

The Continental Challenge Cup also took centre stage. Kyle O’Reilly defeated Orange Cassidy in a hard-fought battle between fellow members of The Conglomeration, advancing to the semifinals. Claudio Castagnoli also moved on, defeating Daniel Garcia, who had stepped in as a replacement after Eddie Kingston was not medically cleared to compete.

With the quarterfinals complete, the semifinal matchups are now set for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite in Glasgow: Kyle O’Reilly will face Nigel McGuinness, while Claudio Castagnoli meets fellow Death Rider Jon Moxley.

Elsewhere on the show, Divine Dominion — Megan Bayne and Lena Kross — scored a victory in their five-minute eliminator, while The Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin teamed with Lee Moriarty to defeat Ryan O’Neill, Nic Nolan and Matt Mako.

The Bang Bang Gang, consisting of Jay White, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn, also earned a win over Shane Taylor Promotions. Afterward, both the Bang Bang Gang and Gabe Kidd’s Dogs made their intentions clear regarding the AEW World Trios Championship picture.

Collision also helped set up additional action for Dynamite, including Swerve Strickland against Jack Perry.
