The Toronto Blue Jays capped off their series in Houston with a dramatic 5-4 extra-inning victory, taking two of three from the Astros and continuing their strong push in the American League playoff race.

Game Highlights

Toronto erased an early deficit with timely hitting, including a game-tying home run from Jesús Sánchez in the sixth inning.

The game remained tied until the 10th, when Ernie Clement blasted a decisive two-run homer to give the Blue Jays a 5-3 lead.

Houston answered with an RBI from Yordan Alvarez, but the Astros’ rally ended when Alvarez was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a double. Manager Joe Espada was ejected after arguing the play.

Key Performers

Ernie Clement: Game-winning two-run home run in the 10th.

Jesús Sánchez: Tied the game with a clutch sixth-inning homer.

Toronto’s bullpen held on late to preserve the one-run victory.

Turning Point Clement’s extra-inning blast swung the momentum for good, and the Blue Jays survived the Astros’ final push to secure a valuable road win.
