Blue Jays Home run Report 2026

The Toronto Blue Jays snapped their six-game losing streak with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the New York Mets on Monday night at Rogers Centre.

Toronto received an outstanding performance from rookie starter Trey Yesavage, who kept the Mets’ lineup in check and gave the Blue Jays exactly what they needed after a difficult week. The bullpen preserved the one-run lead over the final innings, closing out an important win.

The Blue Jays manufactured enough offense to earn the victory, with timely hitting making the difference in a tightly contested game. Toronto’s pitching staff limited New York’s scoring opportunities throughout the night, helping the club improve to 40-45 on the season.

The game also featured an emotional return for former Blue Jays star Bo Bichette, who received a standing ovation from the Rogers Centre crowd in his first game back in Toronto as a member of the Mets.

After being swept in a four-game series by the Texas Rangers, the Blue Jays responded with a much-needed win to begin their series against New York. The victory gives Toronto some momentum heading into the remainder of the homestand as they continue their push to climb back into the American League playoff race.
