The Toronto Maple Leafs (38-19-8) vs. The Carolina Hurricanes (40-20-6) in an Eastern Conference matchup.

The Leafs will be wearing their new Toronto St. Pats uniform tonight.

Toronto and Carolina met once this season. The Hurricanes won 3-2.

Callie Jarnkrok will miss the game due to a hand injury he suffered in the team’s win on Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers. He is week-to-week.

Pontus Holmberg will be on the first line with Auston Matthews and Tyler Bertuzzi.

Tyler Bertuzzi will be a player to watch for the Leafs. He has picked up his play as of late with six goals and three assists in his last 10 games.

Carolina heads into tonight’s game on a three-game winning streak.

The player to watch for the Hurricanes is forward Andrei Svechnikov. He has 11 points in his last 10 games.

Pyotr Kochetkov will be the starting goalie for the Hurricanes.

After leaving the morning skate with what seemed to be an injury, Ilya Samsonov will still be scheduled for his start. Sheldon Keefe said that Samsonov was fine.

The puck drops at 7:00 p.m. on Sportsnet/CBC.
