Game Preview: McDavid and the Oilers visit Toronto

Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers are in Toronto tonight to face off against Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Edmonton won their first meeting against Toronto 4-2 in January. 

Toronto is coming off a 7-3 win over the Washington Capitals Wednesday night.

William Nylander has 91 points on the season. He needs nine more points to become the first Maple Leafs winger to reach 100 points.

Maple Leafs captain John Tavares has eight points in his last three games.

T.J. Brodie will be a healthy scratch once again for Toronto.

Former Maple Leaf Zach Hyman makes his return to Toronto. Hyman is two goals away from 50 on the season.

Connor McDavid heads into tonight’s game with 112 points on the season.

Stuart Skinner will start in net for the Oilers.

In the net for Toronto will be Ilya Samsonov.

The puck drop for tonight’s game is at 7:00 p.m. on Sportsnet/CBC
