The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today they have re-signed forward Bobby McMann to a two-year contract worth $1.35 million.
McMann was set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. This season, he makes less than the league minimum of $775,000.
The Wainwright, Alberta, native went undrafted in 2020. He played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. McMann signed with the Toronto Marlies in 2020.
In 40 games this season, McMann has 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points. McMann has been in the Maple Leafs lineup since mid-November and has been impressive with the Leafs, becoming a key contributor to the team’s success.
McMann has been with the Maple Leafs since 2022. He set the record for most goals by a rookie in Toronto Marlies history with 24.
