The National Bank Open presented by Rogers is entering its final stages at IGA Stadium, with the men’s semifinals set for today.
Shelton vs. Tien
Ben Shelton continued his outstanding run in Canada by crushing Jakub Menšík 6–3, 6–1 in just 72 minutes. Shelton produced 18 winners against only three unforced errors and has now won 10 consecutive matches in Canada.
He’ll face fellow American Learner Tien, who defeated Spain’s Daniel Mérida 6–3, 6–2 to reach his first Masters 1000 semifinal.
Nakashima vs. Jódar
Brandon Nakashima also reached his first Masters 1000 semifinal, defeating Italy’s Luciano Darderi 6–2, 6–3.
The other semifinal features 19-year-old Rafael Jódar, who beat Arthur Fils 7–6(5), 6–3. Jódar’s breakthrough tournament has pushed his 2026 win total to 34 and his ranking to at least No. 11.
This is an unusually young and American-heavy final four. Shelton, Tien, Nakashima and Jódar are all chasing a major Masters 1000 breakthrough.
