The Toronto Raptors snapped a four-game losing streak following a 131-128 O.T. win over the Sacramento Kings Saturday night in Toronto.
It was a special night inside the Scotiabank Arena, as the Raptors honoured Vince Carter by retiring his jersey. It was the Mississauga native RJ Barrett who led the Raptors with 31 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Gradey Dick continued his good start to the season as he scored 22 points, matched by forward Ochai Agbaji, while Chris Boucher added an efficient 24 points off the bench.
DeMar DeRozan had an impressive fourth quarter, as he totaled a team-high 33 points. De’Aaron Fox also was a standout; he finished with 24 points while center Domantas Sabonis dominated on the glass, racking up 17 points and 22 rebounds, including having the game-tying shot late in the fourth.
The Raptors now sit at 2-5; they now make their way to Denver to take on the Nuggets Monday night.
