The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken a commanding 2-0 series lead following their 106-80 win over the Denver Nuggets in Denver on Monday night.
It was the dynamic duo of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns who led the Timberwolves, each scoring 27 points in the 26-point blowout.
The defense was also solid, as the Wolves held Jamal Murray to just 8 points on 3/18 shooting and Nikola Jokic to just 16 on 5/13 shooting.
The Timberwolves now return to Minnesota for game three with a firm grip on the series. Game three is scheduled for Friday night, with tip-off at 9:30.
