Washington dominates after slow start

The Washington Commanders rallied from an early 10-point deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 27–10, scoring 27 unanswered points and handing Philadelphia its sixth consecutive loss.

Philadelphia opened strongly.

Jake Elliott kicked an early field goal, and Saquon Barkley added a three-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles a 10–0 lead in the first quarter.

Washington responded with a 56-yard field goal from Drew Stevens before quarterback Jayden Daniels connected with Stefon Diggs on an eight-yard touchdown pass.

Another Stevens field goal gave the Commanders a 13–10 halftime advantage.

Second-half turning point

Washington’s defense took over after halftime, pressuring Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee and disrupting Philadelphia’s offensive rhythm.

The Commanders added field goals in the third and fourth quarters before Rachaad White scored a late touchdown to put the game out of reach.

Philadelphia had an opportunity to cut into the deficit in the fourth quarter, but a penalty wiped out Elliott’s successful field-goal attempt.

His subsequent 41-yard kick missed, preserving Washington’s lead.

Key performers

Jayden Daniels, Commanders: 217 passing yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Stefon Diggs, Commanders: Caught the game-tying touchdown.

Drew Stevens, Commanders: Converted four field goals.

Saquon Barkley, Eagles: Scored

Philadelphia’s only touchdown but managed just 30 rushing yards.

Washington defense: Recorded five sacks and an interception.

Final analysis: Washington showed resilience by overcoming its slow start, while Philadelphia’s offensive struggles continued.

The Eagles’ inability to score after the first quarter proved decisive.

Chicago wins on the road

Chicago delivers a statement victory

The Chicago Bears earned an impressive 34–17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football, using an efficient passing attack and a powerful ground game to secure a road win.

Chicago finished with 363 total yards, compared with Seattle’s 252.

Quarterback Caleb Williams directed the Bears’ offense effectively, throwing a touchdown pass to rookie receiver Luther Burden III.

Chicago established momentum early and forced Seattle to play from behind.

Running back D’Andre Swift provided the finishing power, scoring three rushing touchdowns as the Bears repeatedly capitalized on opportunities near the goal line.

Seattle fights back but falls short

The Seahawks attempted to rally in the fourth quarter after a Chicago fumble helped set up a Cooper Kupp touchdown and a successful two-point conversion, cutting the deficit to 20–17.

However, Chicago answered immediately.

A 39-yard gain by Kalif Raymond helped set up another Swift touchdown, and the Bears added a further score after Sam Darnold threw a late interception.

Seattle’s missed extra point, blocked field goal and offensive inconsistency compounded its problems.

Key performers

Caleb Williams, Bears: 165 passing yards and one touchdown, with no interceptions.

D’Andre Swift, Bears: Scored three rushing touchdowns.

Luther Burden III, Bears: Six receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seahawks: Finished with 118 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Chicago offense: Generated 363 total yards in the 17-point victory.

Chicago’s balanced offense and ability to respond to Seattle’s fourth-quarter push proved decisive.

The Bears delivered one of their strongest performances of the season, while the Seahawks were left to address costly mistakes and inconsistent offensive execution.
