2K releases trailer for WWE 2K24

2K Games has released the trailer for WWE 2K24. In the trailer, 2K brought back an old match type, the Special Guest Referee. New match types will include Casket Match, Ambulance Match and Gauntlet Match.

This year marks Wrestlemania 40, and just like what 2K did in WWE 2K14 with Thirty years of Wrestlemania, we will be getting Forty of Wrestlemania, where you can relive and play classic matches from Wrestlemania over the years. Matches that were shown in the trailer were Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels from Wrestlemania 25, Andre The Giant vs. Hulk Hogan from Wrestlemania 3, and Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin from Wrestlemania 13.

The tagline for this year’s game is “Finish your Story”. Cody Rhodes will be on the standard edition cover of the game, and Biana Belair and Rhea Ripley will be on the deluxe edition cover. They are the first women to have their own cover on a WWE game. There will be Forty years of Wrestlemania Edition. It is the most expensive version of the game.

The pre-order bonus for the game is called The Nightmare Family pack, where you get four played characters and three MyFaction cards. The four superstars players will get are Undashing Cody Rhodes “2011”, Stardust, Dusty Rhodes and “Superstar” Billy Graham. The MyFaction bonus includes Dusty Rhodes “76”, Mattel Cody Rhodes and Pharaoh (Manager).

As we get closer to the release of WWE 2K24, expect more news to be announced closer to the launch. The game will be available via Steam on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. WWE 2K24 will be released on March 8th, but you can get early access to the game on March 5th if you get the Deluxe or 40 Years of Wrestlemania editions.
