TORONTO — September 5, 2026 — Toronto FC produced a remarkable comeback at BMO Field, rallying from behind to earn a 4–4 draw with the Chicago Fire in a wild MLS contest.
Sargent Hat Trick Leads the Rally
Josh Sargent was the star for Toronto, scoring three goals in a breakout performance. It was the first MLS hat trick of his career and kept TFC alive throughout a match in which Chicago repeatedly threatened to pull away.
Toronto’s fourth goal came from Derrick Etienne Jr., who scored two minutes into second-half stoppage time to complete the comeback and rescue a point for the Reds.
