The Toronto Marlies celebrated their home opener with an impressive 5–3 victory over the Hamilton Hammers, delivering an offensive outburst in front of their home fans at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Toronto jumped out to a commanding early lead and built enough of a cushion to withstand Hamilton’s attempts to fight back.
Brendan Brisson opened the scoring at 11:22 on the power play, converting a setup from captain Logan Shaw and Henrik Rybinski.
Noah Chadwick extended the advantage at 12:57, with Philippe Myers and Luke Haymes collecting assists.
Landon Sim made it 3–0 at 16:10, assisted by Rybinski and Borya Valis. Brisson then struck again at 17:26, finishing a play set up by Cole McWard and Shaw to cap a dominant opening period.
Marlies Extend Their Advantage
Toronto continued its offensive pressure early in the second period. Shaw scored just 53 seconds into the frame, with Brisson and Vinni Lettieri assisting, pushing the Marlies’ lead to 5–0.
Hamilton responded through Pierre Engvall at 1:45, assisted by Brandon Scanlin.
Ethan Bear added another goal at 8:41, with Liam Foudy earning the assist.
The Hammers continued to compete, but Toronto’s early scoring surge proved decisive.

Hamilton continued its push in the final period, but Toronto protected its lead and secured the 5–3 victory.
