Blue Jays expected to bring Spencer Horwitz to Oakland

Spencer Horwitz is expected to be called up from Triple-A Buffalo to join the Blue Jays in Oakland for their three game series starting Friday.

Horwitz made his big league debut with the Blue Jays in 2023, going 10 for 39 (.256) with seven RBIs and a .734 OPS in 15 games.

The Oakland Athletics have also announced their starter for Friday evening, sending Hogan Harris (0-0, 3.14) to the mound, Chris Bassitt (6-6, 4.13) will get the start for Toronto as he faces one of his former teams.
