Maple Leafs sign defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson to a four-year contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson to a four-year with an AAV of $3.5 million.

Ekman-Larsson is coming off a 32-point season where he scored nine goals and had 23 assists with the Stanley Cup-winning Florida Panthers.

In 24 playoff games, Ekman-Larsson had two goals and four assists for six points. 

Ekman-Larsson will add a much-needed boost of offence to Toronto’s defence. 

In 982 career games played, Ekman-Larsson has 144 goals and 327 assists for 471 points.
