The Brampton Steelheads made a blockbuster trade Tuesday afternoon. The club acquired forward Carson Rehkopf from the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for 10 draft picks, three second-round draft picks (2025 Peterborough, 2026 Guelph, 2027 Brampton), three third-round draft picks(2025 Peterborough, 2025 Kitchener, 2028 Brampton), three fourth-round draft picks (2025 London, 2026 Peterborough, 2027 Brampton) and Brampton’s seventh-round pick in 2026

Rehkopf is coming off a 95-point season in which he scored 52 goals and 43 assists. The Vaughn Ontario native was drafted by the Seattle Kraken 50th overall in the second round of the 2023 NHL draft.

Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News broke the trade on X/Twitter.

With the addition of Rehkopf, Brampton’s offence became much stronger. With Rehkopf, Porter Martone, and Luke Misa, they will have a one-two-three punch.

Rehkopf was drafted in the first round of the OHL Priority Selection in 2021 by the Kitchener Rangers. In three seasons, Rehkopf has played in 193 OHL games. He has scored 100 goals and has 87 assists for 187 career points.
