Last night felt like everything we’ve been waiting so long for. The Toronto Blue Jays stepped up in a massive way, pounding the Seattle Mariners 6-2 to force Game 7 of the ALCS right here in Toronto and October baseball is very much alive again in this city!
How the Night Unfolded
From the very first inning you could sense a shift. The Jays pitched better, swung with confidence, and played clean baseball when it counted most.
- Rookie Trey Yesavage delivered a gutsy outing, striking out seven over 5.2 innings and escaping multiple bases-loaded jams with help from his defence.
- Addison Barger crushed a two-run homer and drove in three runs, setting the tone early.
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. added a solo shot and now sits tied for the franchise postseason home-run record with six. He is locked in.
- The defence came up huge: three inning-ending double plays, two with the bases loaded. Seattle’s errors piled up and Toronto made them pay.
It wasn’t perfect but no playoff win ever is. This game was a strong message to the team, the fans, and the league: We Belong Here. We Want It All!
What’s Coming Next
Now the stage is set for Game 7, right here in Toronto at the Rogers Centre. This is it. One game to decide who moves on to the World Series, and we’ll be right in the centre of it.
If the Jays win, we’ll celebrate. If they fall short, we’ll still acknowledge what they fought for. Either way, this ride has been something truly special.
Why I’m So Fired Up
As someone who has watched this franchise through highs, lows, and everything in between, last night reminded me of what we’ve been craving. It reminded me why I still believe. The talent is there. The fire is there. The crowd tonight is going to be something to remember.
So to my fellow fans: buckle up. Stay loud. Let’s fill the stadium and be the wind at our team’s back, because tonight wil be historic no matter what!
👏 Go Jays Go 👏
