Toronto Raptors fans were hoping to keep the momentum going on this road trip, though Wednesday night turned into a tough one. The Raptors fell 119 to 94 against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 25, 2026 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
This game slipped away early and Toronto spent the rest of the night trying to dig out of a deep hole.
The Clippers came out flying in the first quarter and quickly built a double digit lead. Strong shooting and aggressive defense from Los Angeles put Toronto on its heels almost immediately. The Raptors struggled to find a rhythm offensively and the Clippers kept pushing the pace.
Los Angeles had several players firing on all cylinders.
Kawhi Leonard led the way with 27 points and controlled the tempo throughout the night. Darius Garland added 24 points while knocking down five three pointers. The Clippers bench also played a major role, with Bennedict Mathurin scoring 23 points and giving Los Angeles a huge boost when the starters rested.
The defensive presence of Brook Lopez was another difference maker. Lopez finished with 14 points along with five rebounds and five blocks, protecting the rim and making life difficult for Toronto every time they attacked the paint.
Toronto simply could not generate enough offense to keep up.
Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 18 points. RJ Barrett finished with 12 points though it was a frustrating shooting night as he struggled from long range. Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 10 points and worked hard inside against the Clippers front court.
The Raptors shot just 40 of 96 from the field and hit only 10 of 29 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile the Clippers were clicking offensively and knocked down 16 three pointers, which widened the gap as the game went on.
The energy and ball movement that powered Toronto’s huge win against Utah two nights earlier never quite showed up in this one. The Clippers controlled the pace and never allowed the Raptors to build any real momentum.
Where The Raptors Stand In The East
Even with the loss, Toronto is still in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Raptors have been hovering around the top five in the East for much of the season.
First place in the conference is still a difficult target at this stage. Toronto has been sitting several games back of the conference leader. Closing that gap would require a strong winning streak combined with losses from the teams above them in the standings.
The more realistic goal over the final stretch of the season is improving playoff seeding and entering the postseason playing their best basketball.
What Needs To Happen Down The Stretch
Consistency continues to be the biggest challenge for this Raptors team.
On nights when Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley are moving the ball and sharing the scoring load, Toronto can compete with almost anyone. Defensive intensity and rebounding from players like Jakob Poeltl also become critical during playoff style basketball.
This loss is frustrating, though the schedule does not slow down and the Raptors will have opportunities to respond quickly.
The playoffs are getting closer and every game now carries a little more weight.
Fans are still hoping this group can find another gear before the postseason arrives.
