POSTGAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH JOHN GRUDEN
On today’s game:
I think what I liked most about it was the way we played in the second and third, that should be our standard. You could see a different pace coming out after that first period and we got the results to show for it. At the end of the day, you can’t control if you’re going to score but you can control the way you play. If we play like that, nine out of 10 times we’re going to have a really good chance to win.
On the playoffs starting Wednesday:
It’s a whole new day. We’ve now played with that lineup for a couple of games. They should understand exactly what their linemates are doing and how we want to play. It should be exciting for them. This is the best time of the year. Anytime you get to play playoff hockey at whatever level, it’s exciting. We don’t have much time to talk about it. We just need to make sure that we take care of ourselves and we’re ready to go because in a two-out-three, you don’t have time to wait.
