July 11, 2026 – Miami

England survived a stern test from Norway, rallying for a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory to book a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals.

Norway struck first through Andreas Schjelderup, putting England under heavy pressure. The Three Lions responded before halftime when Jude Bellingham leveled the match, ensuring the teams entered the break tied. England had a Harry Kane goal disallowed during regulation, while Norway also threatened through Erling Haaland and Alexander Sørloth.

With the match deadlocked after 90 minutes, Bellingham delivered again early in extra time, scoring the winning goal after capitalizing on a goalkeeper error. Norway pushed hard for another equalizer, but England’s defense held firm. A late Norway goal was ruled out for a foul, and England also saw a penalty overturned following a VAR review, capping a dramatic finish.

England advances to the World Cup semifinals, where it will face the winner of Argentina vs. Switzerland on July 15.
