TNA Wrestling brings back Lockdown on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The event marks the first Lockdown since 2016, with every match taking place inside a steel cage.

The Countdown to Lockdown begins at 5 p.m. ET, followed by the pay-per-view at 6 p.m. ET.

The Hardys vs. Nic & Ryan Nemeth

TNA World Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match

Matt and Jeff Hardy defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Nic and Ryan Nemeth in one of the biggest matches on the card.

The rivalry has intensified in recent weeks, with Nic Nemeth defeating Jeff Hardy in singles competition before the focus shifted back to the tag team titles. Inside the cage, outside interference will be removed from the equation, putting the emphasis on which team can survive the brutal environment.

Prediction: The Hardys retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

Xia Brookside vs. Elayna Black

Knockouts World Championship Steel Cage Match

Xia Brookside puts the Knockouts World Championship on the line against Elayna Black.

Black will have the opportunity to challenge for the title in her hometown of Chicago, adding another layer to an already important championship match. The cage environment could create the ideal setting for a major title change.

Prediction: Elayna Black wins the Knockouts World Championship.

Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali

TNA International Championship Steel Cage Match

Jason Hotch defends the TNA International Championship against Mustafa Ali in a heated personal rivalry.

Ali remains one of the most dangerous and unpredictable competitors in TNA, but Hotch has an opportunity to establish himself as a legitimate champion by defeating one of the company’s top stars inside the cage.

Prediction: Mustafa Ali wins the TNA International Championship.

Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater

X Division Championship / Legacy Match

Cedric Alexander challenges Leon Slater in one of the most intriguing matches of Lockdown. The stakes go beyond the X Division Championship, with Slater’s legacy also on the line.

A loss could erase Slater’s record-tying title reign from the record books, creating enormous pressure for the young champion. Alexander brings experience and technical ability, while Slater has the athleticism and resilience to produce another memorable performance.

Prediction: Leon Slater retains the X Division Championship.

Rosemary & Allie vs. M by Elegance & Heather by Elegance

Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match

Rosemary and Allie defend their championships against members of The Elegance Brand.

Questions surrounding Rosemary’s recent situation have added uncertainty to the match, but if the champions enter the cage at full strength, they will be difficult to defeat.

Prediction: Rosemary and Allie retain the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.

The System vs. Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro & Jada Stone

Lethal Lockdown Match

The System — Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson, Brian Myers and Alisha Edwards — battles Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada Stone in the return of the Lethal Lockdown match.

This represents a major clash between established TNA veterans and a younger group looking to break through. Lethal Lockdown is one of TNA’s signature stipulations and is returning as part of Lockdown’s long-awaited revival.

Prediction: Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada Stone win.

AJ Francis vs. Elijah

Steel Cage Match

The rivalry between AJ Francis and Elijah finally reaches the steel cage. Both competitors bring power and physicality, making this one of the matches most likely to feature a decisive finish.

Prediction: Elijah wins.

Frankie Kazarian vs. Moose

Escape the Cage Match

Frankie Kazarian and Moose meet under Escape the Cage rules, creating a different strategic challenge from the other matches on the card.

Moose’s size and power make him a formidable opponent, but Kazarian’s experience could give him an advantage if he can outsmart his rival.

Prediction: Moose wins.
