Maple Leafs 6, Senators 1 — Toronto
Toronto dominated the home game, outshooting Ottawa 36–14.

Auston Matthews: 1 goal, 2 assists
Sergei Bobrovsky: 13 saves on 14 shots
Toronto also went 1-for-6 on the power play.
The Leafs controlled the game after a 2–1 first period, adding three goals in the second and another in the third.
Teddy Blueger capped the scoring with an empty-net goal.
Maple Leafs 4, Senators 2 — Ottawa
Toronto’s other split-squad group also defeated Ottawa, 4–2, with the Leafs scoring three times in the third period.
Overall
It was a strong preseason night for Toronto, particularly the offensive production and goaltending in the home game.
The Leafs now turn their attention toward the regular season, which begins Sept. 29 against Montreal.
