The Sabres unleashed an offensive onslaught against the Blue Jackets on Friday night, peppering Columbus goaltender Jet Greaves with 37 shots in a 5–2 victory at KeyBank Center.

Jack Quinn opened the scoring for Buffalo at 6:50 of the first period, flicking the rebound of his own shot past Greaves to make it 1–0.

Kent Johnson tied the game at the 16:00 mark, converting a one-timer off a feed from Sean Monahan.

Buffalo retook the lead with under two minutes remaining in the period. Josh Norris scored the first of his two goals on the night, wristing a shot past Greaves after a Columbus giveaway.

Rasmus Dahlin extended the lead 4:10 into the second period, one-timing a rocket from just inside the blue line to make it 3–1.

Norris added his second goal at 9:46, jamming the puck home in front of the net to push Buffalo’s lead to 4–1.

Josh Doan added his third of the season 1:07 later, scoring from the doorstep to make it 5–1.

Zach Werenski scored a power-play goal late in the third period to make the final score 5–2.
