The Oklahoma City Thunder have evened their second-round series against the Dallas Mavericks at two following their 100-96 win in Dallas Monday night.
With the game close up until late in the fourth quarter, it was a Chet Holmgren three that gave the Thunder the lead they would hold onto to take the victory. Holmgren had an impressive night, finishing with 18 points and nine boards, but it was M.V.P. finalist Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who had a game high of 34 points, adding eight rebounds and five assists.
Mavs guard Luka Doncic is still not playing at 100 percent, shooting only 30 percent from the floor; however, Doncic did finish with a triple-double, recording 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Meanwhile, for the Mavs, P.J. Washington continued his impressive streak, as he had a team-high 21 points and added 12 rebounds in the loss.
The series now shifts to Oklahoma City for a pivotal Game Five on Wednesday night.
