POSTGAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH JOHN GRUDEN
On today’s game:
I didn’t like the way we played today. I didn’t like how we responded in the third period. It started with the power play goal that they got at the end of the second. We had a commanding 2-0 lead. We were playing extremely well and for whatever reason, we thought we would do our own thing out there and freelance a little bit and it bit us in the butt. Hopefully again we can learn from it but it’s getting to the point where some of the guys have to step up here and understand where we get the points like this especially on our home ice to win games and get the two points.
LOGAN SHAW
On losing the lead in the third period:
It just can’t happen. We can’t be the way we’re going to play in the third period. Good teams find a way to close it out. Whether they’re playing a good game or not. We had control of that game. We let one up at the end of the second and that gave them momentum so, we’ve got to clean it up a little bit but in the third period, we definitely have to be better.
