The road to the Great American Bash continued on Tuesday night as WWE NXT delivered an action-packed episode from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The show opened with new NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria celebrating her championship victory. Her celebration was quickly interrupted by Kelani Jordan, Kendal Grey, and NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice, setting the stage for a heated main event tag team match.
In the opening contest, Tavion Heights defeated Jackson Drake to become the No. 1 Contender for the NXT North American Championship. Heights earned the opportunity after a hard-fought victory and will now challenge Myles Borne at the Great American Bash.
The first round of the WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament took place with Izzi Dame defeating Thea Hail and Arianna Grace scoring an upset victory over Layla Diggs. The wins advanced Dame and Grace to the tournament final.
In one of the night’s most personal battles, Nattie defeated Jaida Parker via submission with the Sharpshooter. The veteran showcased her experience in a physical contest that further intensified their rivalry heading toward the Great American Bash.
Elsewhere on the show, NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo and challenger Naraku held a tense face-to-face meeting ahead of their championship showdown. The segment added another layer of intrigue to one of the most anticipated matches scheduled for the Great American Bash.
In the main event, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey defeated Zaria and Kelani Jordan. The match broke down when Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley appeared, distracting Zaria and allowing Vice to connect with a spinning backfist for the victory. The result provided momentum for Vice and Grey while adding more tension to the crowded women’s championship picture.
With the Great American Bash rapidly approaching, NXT continued to build momentum with major championship implications, personal rivalries, and several key matches now officially set for the premium live event.
