AEW Dynamite delivered a strong episode from Baltimore, Maryland, with the road to AEW All In London becoming increasingly intense.
Continental Challenge Cup Takes Centre Stage
Jon Moxley advanced in the Continental Challenge Cup after submitting Jay White in a physical quarterfinal match. The match was one of the night’s strongest in-ring performances, with Moxley surviving a determined effort from White before forcing him to tap out.
Nigel McGuinness also advanced, defeating Hechicero by submission. The victory added another major chapter to McGuinness’ recent resurgence and gave the tournament added importance heading into the later rounds.
Omega and Ospreay Make It Personal
The biggest talking point of the night was the sit-down interview between AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. The two reflected on their long history and previous battles, but the conversation became increasingly personal as All In London approaches.
Ospreay later teamed with Henare and Francesco Akira to defeat the Don Callis Family’s Brian Cage, Lance Archer and Rocky Romero. Ospreay scored the decisive victory, keeping momentum on his side heading toward Wembley.
Maya World Retains the TBS Championship
Maya World successfully retained the AEW TBS Championship in a four-way match against Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and Persephone. The fast-paced title match gave the women’s division one of the night’s biggest showcases, with World surviving the crowded field to remain champion.
Andrade Sends a Message
Andrade made quick work of Jonathan Cruz before turning his attention toward MJF. Andrade’s actions made it clear that he is looking to position himself for a major confrontation with the champion.
This was a very effective episode of Dynamite. The Continental Challenge Cup matches delivered strong wrestling, while Omega and Ospreay gave their All In rivalry a more personal edge. The TBS Championship match added plenty of action, and the show continued building several important stories heading toward London.
