The Boston Celtics announced Tuesday afternoon, big man Kristaps Porzingis will miss a minimum of several games with a right soleus strain.
The good news is Porzingis appears to have avoided an injury to his Achilles, which was the main concern when he exited game four in the Celtics 102-88 win over the Miami Heat Monday night.
It’s unclear exactly how much time Porzingis will miss, it appears he will sit out the rest of the first round and depending on how long the series lasts, the centre could be out for the beginning of round two.
The Celtics have their first chance to close out the series Wednesday night in Boston.
